On October 5, a seminar entitled “Destination Argentina. Opportunities for Thai tourism in Latin America” was held at The Bangkok Club, event organized by the Argentine Embassy in order to promote Thai tourism in Argentina.

In his opening remarks, the Argentine Ambassador Gustavo Alberto Martino highlighted that the timing is right for an increase in Thai outbound tourism to Argentina, not only due to the post-pandemic recovery of the tourism sector but also in the framework of the expansive eonomic measures to be put in place by the new Thai government, which will probably will boost economic growth.

The program included an introduction comprising general information on Argentina as a travel destination, made by the Head of the Economic Section Juan Pablo Volken and a live online presentation on Argentina's top highlights and advice on how to prepare a trip to the Argentina, led by Marina Fariña, member of the "Visit Argentina" team, Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

The final segment of the seminar consisted of an online presentation by representatives of eight Argentine travel agencies (Abax Travel, De la Paz Tour, 5 Senses, Inspira, ILS Tours, MIC DMC, Signature, and Summit Travel), who later answered questions from attendees.
