Featuring a high-level delegation led by its Chairman and CEO Horacio Marín, the Argentine company YPF participated in the “Gastech Exhibition & Conference", which included the “Argentina LNG” pavilion, from September 14-17.
During their stay in Bangkok, which hosted the “Gastech” for the first time, the delegation held business meetings with counterparts from different countries, including a meeting with the Thai state-owned company PTT.
Furthermore, Horacio Marín participated—among other activities—in a panel titled "Argentina’s Energy Awakening: Scaling Up Vaca Muerta for Domestic Consumption and International Markets."
Ambassador Claudio Ricardo Gutiérrez and Embassy officers joined and supported YPF during their busy schedule and at the opening ceremony presided over by Prime Minister of Thailand, Anutin Charnvirakul.
Led by YPF, "Argentina LNG"—the project promoted at the pavilion—is one of two major initiatives aimed at transforming Argentina into a major exporter of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in the coming years.
The gas to be liquefied for export will be sourced from the Vaca Muerta formation, the world's second-largest reserve of unconventional gas, located in northern Patagonia, in Argentina.
