On September 1st, the National Foreign Service Institute (ISEN) of Argentina and the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) of Thailand signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Diplomatic Training.
The signing took place in Buenos Aires, during the visit of a delegation from the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs to participate in the 6th Meetings of Political and Economic Consultations, held in the Argentine capital.
Ambassador Marcelo Buffetti, its current Director (right), signed on behalf of ISEN, and Krit Tankanarat, the Ambassador of Thailand to Buenos Aires (left), signed on behalf of DVIFA.
ISEN is the institution responsible for the selection through public contest and intensive training of the Argentine diplomats, while DVIFA performs a similar function in Thailand.
Through the Memorandum of Understanding, both institutes agree to develop cooperation in the training and professional development of their diplomatic personnel in the areas of foreign policy and international relations.
