On September 1st, the 6th Political and Economic Consultations between Argentina and Thailand took place at the San Martín Palace, headquarters of the Argentine Foreign Ministry, in Buenos Aires.
These Consultations are mechanisms for dialogue between Argentina and Thailand which allow both countries to review and agree on different aspects of each of the subjects included in the bilateral agenda.
The Argentine delegation was headed by Undersecretary of Foreign Policy Juan Manuel Navarro, while the Thai delegation was led by Permanent Deputy Secretary for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Sirilak Niyom.
During the meetings, various topics were discussed, such as:
-The political situation and foreign policy priorities in both countries.
-The 70th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations.
-Technical cooperation projects between Argentina and Thailand.
-Trade barriers and market access negotiations.
-Investment opportunities in Argentina and Thailand.
