On October 22 and November 19, the elections for President, Vice President, 24 senators, 130 deputies and 43 Mercosur parliamentarians took place at the Argentine Embassy.

All Argentine citizens residing in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar aged 16 years old or older who were registered on the electoral roll were able to cast their vote.

This year's elections were held within the framework of the 40th anniversary since the resumption of Argentine democracy in 1983.
