On November 29, the new Argentine Ambassador to Thailand Gustavo Alberto Martino formally presented the copies of his Letters of Credence to the Director General of the Department of Protocol of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Bhakavat Tanskul.
Ambassador Martino is a career diplomat who graduated in Economics from the National University of La Plata (UNLP). He joined Argentina’s Foreign Service in 1992, after having served previously at the Economic and Commercial Foreign Service of the Ministry of Economy.
As a diplomat, he has held various posts abroad representing Argentina, including Ambassador to China and Mongolia (2011-2016), Consul General in Chicago (2009-2011) and Head of the Economic Department at the Argentine Embassy in the United Kingdom.
