On December 2, the “XVI Argentine Embassy Polo Cup” was held at the Thai Polo Club in Pattaya, an event co-organized by the Argentine Embassy and the Thai Polo Club, which also featured a tasting of Argentine wine, meat and other products.

In his opening remarks, the Argentine Ambassador Gustavo Alberto Martino highlighted that several polo players in Thailand are Argentine, just like the horses, many of which were imported from Argentina. He went on to stress the Argentine long polo tradition.

After the matches and the prize award ceremony, guests were invited to taste the finest Argentine wine supplied by the importing companies Independent Wines & Spirits (IWS) and Boozia Distribution.

IWS showcased different varieties from Catena Zapata, the Argentine winery that was voted No. 1 in the world at the 2023 edition of World's Best Vineyards, while Boozia Distribution offered a variety of labels from the also renowned Luigi Bosca winery.

The day ended with a spread of world-class Argentine "asado" barbecue sponsored by the Argentine restaurant Don Asado and meticulously prepared by its renowned chef Sergio Crubelli.

Throughout the day, guests were also treated to the popular and delicious Bon-O-Bon candies, supplied by the Argentine multinational company ARCOR.

More than 120 people attended the "Argentine Embassy Polo Cup", including businessmen and importers, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Thai government and Argentine residents in Thailand.
