On May 20, a virtual discussion on gender policies took place between Argentine and Thai authorities, organized by this Embassy.

This dialogue was held between Carola Davicino and Marina Quaranta, focal points of the Argentine Ministry for Women and Gender, and a Thai delegation from the Office of Women's Affairs and Family Development, headed by its Director General Jintana Chanbamrung.

During the discussion, the Argentine representatives shared the experience of our country in terms of policies to guarantee gender equality.

They referred, among other issues, to the creation of the Ministry for Women and Gender; the 2020-2022 Action Plan against Gender Violence; and to the active policies of the Argentine government to guarantee women’s empowerment.
