June 2026 | Presentation of credentials to the King by Ambassador Gutiérrez

On June 22, Argentine Ambassador Claudio Ricardo Gutiérrez presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua at a Royal Audience held at Ambara Villa, Dusit Palace, which was also attended by Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana.

Letters of Credence are the formal document through which the sending State —in this case, the Argentine Republic— appoints an Ambassador —Claudio Ricardo Gutiérrez— to represent it to the receiving State —the Kingdom of Thailand—.

According to international law, the presentation of this document to the Head of State —His Majesty the King, in the case of Thailand— by a foreign Ambassador officially accredits them as the representative of their country and grants them full authority to perform their duties in the receiving State.

Ambassador Gutiérrez's Letters of Credence were signed by Argentine President Javier Milei prior to his departure for Bangkok.
