On January 10, the Argentine Ambassador Gustavo Alberto Martino attended a virtual meeting arranged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) of Cambodia to discuss the possibility of scheduling a trade mission to Argentina comprising government officials and businessmen.

The meeting was chaired by Ambassador Ouk Sorphorn, current Under Secretary of State of the MFAIC, who was accompanied by representatives of the Economic Diplomacy Team of Cambodia.

Also attending the meeting were Rodolfo Caffaro Kramer, President of the MERCOSUR-ASEAN Chamber of Commerce (MACC), from Buenos Aires, and representatives of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC), from Phnom Penh.

The Argentine Embassy in Thailand also handles bilateral relations with Cambodia, a country that established diplomatic relations with Argentina on 28 January 1960.
