On December 6, the Argentine Embassy was pleased to participate in the special milonga to celebrate the International Tango Day 2025, organized by Bangkok Tango Practica/Milonga by Gift in collaboration with the Embassy.

At Luka Sukhumvit 31, dozens of tango enthusiasts showcased their talent on the dance floor throughout the evening, dancing to the songs played by the well-versed DJ Sopee Jaa.

In his opening remarks, Chargé d'Affaires Javier De Cicco described tango as a fundamental element of Argentine identity and expressed his gratitude to all guests for their enthusiasm.

He also emphasized the Embassy's interest in continuing to collaborate with local tango schools and groups to further promote this Argentine dance and musical genre in Thailand.

This special milonga featured maestros Pablo Daniel Martinez and Beatriz Peralta, who took over the dance floor midway through the evening offering an impressive live show.

After the big applause for the maestros, the dancing continued until midnight, and delicious Argentine empanadas and Argentine wine were served to dancers and guests.

The Argentine Embassy wishes to thank Bangkok Tango for their tremendous dedication to organizing this event and Luka Sukhumvit 31 for providing their beautiful space for this milonga.
