The "XVII Argentine Embassy Polo Cup" was held on December 7 at the Thai Polo Club in Pattaya, a tournament co-organized by the Argentine Embassy and the Thai Polo Club which also included a tasting of Argentine drinks and food products. Congratulations to Fast Fish, the winning team this year!

In his opening remarks, the Chargé d’Affairs a.i. of the Argentine Embassy Javier De Cicco highlighted that polo in Argentina is closely connected with a very traditional custom, which is spending the day in the countryside with the family, enjoying the greenery, the blue sky, the company of friends with good wine, barbecue, mate and sweets.

Polo is a traditional sport practiced in Argentina and some of the world's top polo players come from Argentina. Each of the three teams in this competition comprised Argentine players and most of the horses ridden were imported from Argentina.

More than one hundred guests attended the event, including members of the diplomatic corps, influencers, media representatives, businessmen, importers, Argentine residents in Thailand, polo enthusiasts and relatives of the polo players.

During the matches and the subsequent prize award ceremony, guests were invited to taste the following products:

** Argentine wine from Luigi Bosca winery, sponsored by Boozia Distribution.

** Argentine wine from Antigal winery, sponsored by Noble Marketing.

** Argentine beef empanadas and barbecue, sponsored by Don Asado restaurant and cooked by Chef Diego García and owner Leandro Chazarreta.

** Argentine “alfajores” with “dulce de leche” (sweet from milk), sponsored by Del Plata, a trading company focusing on Argentine products based in Vietnam, owned by Guillermo Pérez Cena.

** Yerba mate cold and traditional drinks, sponsored by Latino Secrets.
