On December 1, the Deputy Head of Mission of the Argentine Embassy Gustavo Héctor Méndez delivered a presentation on “Question of the Malvinas Islands: A Story of Colonialism. A United Nations Cause” at the College of Interdisciplinary Studies of Thammasat University. This session was attended by professors and students from the BA Program in Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE International Program), MA Program in Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies (WGSSP) and German-Southeast Asian Center of Excellence for Public Policy and Good Governance (CPG) of Thammasat University.
The Malvinas Islands are an integral part of the Argentine territory that has remained illegally occupied by the United Kingdom since 1833, the year in which that country usurped the islands by force, expelling the authorities and inhabitants who resided there until that moment.
