April 2026 | Participation at the "Spanish Language Day"

On April 26, the Argentine Embassy was pleased to participate in the 5th edition of “Spanish Language Day,” organized by the Embassy of Spain and Mesa 312 Cultural Lab, in collaboration with the Embassies of Spanish-speaking countries of Latin America in Bangkok. The event took place at GalileOasis.

At the opening ceremony, Argentine Ambassador Claudio Ricardo Gutiérrez highlighted that Spanish is the second most spoken native language in the world and highlighted “Sur Programme”, a policy launched in 2009 by Argentina to support the translation of Argentine literary works into other languages.

In addition, an Argentine stand was set up, from where we provided information about studying at Argentine universities and Spanish courses in Argentina, as well as about the “Sur Programme”. We also offered visitors bonbons from the Argentine confectionery company Arcor and yerba mate, prepared as "mate cocido", in the form of tea, for tasting.

Furthermore, Mornii Bakery delighted guests with their delicious Argentine croissants and mini-croissants, while Hero Gourmet presented the traditional Argentine beef empanadas.

We thank the Embassy of Spain and Mesa 312 Cultural Lab for organizing this wonderful event and congratulate Hero Gourmet and Mornii Bakery for bringing delicious Argentine flavors to the celebration.
