On April 23, a wine tasting on the occasion of Malbec World Day (MWD) 2025 took place at Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit, organized by the Argentine Embassy in collaboration with the Hotel and 8 Thai wine importing companies.

More than 130 guests attended the tasting, including wine lovers, media representatives and influencers, who had the chance to taste several of the finest Argentine Malbec labels supplied by the following importing companies:

** Ambrose Wine (representing Kaiken winery)

** Boozia Distribution (representing Luigi Bosca winery)

** Central Food Retail (representing Zuccardi and Santa Julia wineries)

** Enoteca (representing Norton winery)

** Independent Wines & Spirits (representing Catena Zapata winery)

** Italthai Hospitality (representing Escorihuela Gascón winery)

** Noble Marketing (representing Antigal winery)

** TA Beverage (representing Marcelo Peleritti winery)

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Argentine Embassy, Javier De Cicco, gave the opening remarks, together with the General Manager of the Hotel, Sammy Carolus, highlighting that Malbec –a grape originally from France– has become the flagship wine variety of Argentina, where 75% of the world’s Malbec are produced.

In addition to tasting the best Malbec wine, attendees were delighted to attend a passionate tango dance performed by Gift Nanthanan, a tango teacher and organiser of Bangkok Tango Practica/Milonga, and Mr Ren Archie, a dance instructor and owner of Bailamos Studio Pattaya.
