On April 27, the 5th Political and Economic Consultation Meetings between Argentina and Thailand took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

This Consultation Meetings consist of a bilateral mechanism of dialogue in which representatives of both countries review and agree on courses of action regarding each of the items on the bilateral agenda.

The Argentine delegation was chaired by Undersecretary for Foreign Policy Claudio Javier Rozencwaig and Undersecretary for Multilateral and Bilateral Economic Negotiations Ramiro Isodoro Ordoqui, while the Thai delegation was chaired by the Permanent Deputy Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Busadee Santipitaks.

During the meeting, relevant subjects of the bilateral relations were addressed, such as:

- The political and economic situation in Argentina and Thailand

- The technical cooperation projects of the Argentine Fund for South-South Cooperation (FO.AR)

- Bilateral cooperation on space, nuclear, cultural, sports, human rights and gender policies, among others.

- Bilateral agreements currently under negotiation

- Bilateral trade and investment

- The status of market access negotiations between the two countries

- The relationship between MERCOSUR and ASEAN
