About this Embassy

The Embassy of the Argentine Republic in the Kingdom of Thailand (Argentine Embassy in Thailand) has existed since 15 July 1960, when a bilateral Agreement by Reversal Notes came into force elevating the diplomatic representations in Buenos Aires and Bangkok to the rank of Embassy.

It is currently found in the center of Bangkok, on the 16th floor of the Vasu 01 building, located at No. 1, Soi 25, Sukhumvit Road, Wattana district.

The jurisdiction of the Argentine Embassy in Thailand includes not only the Kingdom of Thailand (Thailand) but also the Kingdom of Cambodia (Cambodia), the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Laos) and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar (Myanmar).

Ever since the completion of Ambassador Gustavo Alberto Martino's duties in Bangkok on 16 November 2024, the Embassy’s Head of Mission is Counselor Javier De Cicco, who serves as Chargé d'Affaires ad interim.

In short, the functions of the Argentine Embassy in Bangkok consist of representing Argentina before the authorities of Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar; protecting Argentine interests in these four countries; and assisting Argentine citizens residing or visiting any of them.

To fulfill these functions, the Argentine Embassy in Bangkok has the following five sections:

-Political Section: headed by the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Javier De Cicco.

-Economic, Commercial and Tourism Section: headed by First Secretary Juan Pablo Volken.

-Consular Section: headed by First Secretary Agustina Tentoni.

-Cultural Section: headed by First Secretary Juan Pablo Volken.

-Administrative Section: headed by Mrs. Guillermina Cheresole.

The general contact information for the Argentine Embassy in Thailand and for each of the five aforementioned sections can be found in the “contact” tab of this website.
