September 2025 | Screening of "The Distinguished Citizen" at The Bangkok Club

On September 30, the Argentine Embassy screened the film "The Distinguished Citizen”, a 2016 Argentine drama/comedy directed by Marcos Cohn and Gastón Duprat, which received eight international awards, at The Bangkok Club.

The screening took place at full house and was preceded by a reception in which attendees had the chance to taste Argentine empanadas, wine, and desserts, in addition to snacks and soft drinks kindly provided by The Bangkok Club.

In his opening remarks, Chargé d'Affaires Javier De Cicco highlighted the global recognition enjoyed by the film industry of Argentina, the only Latin American country to have so far won two Oscars, in 1985 and 2009, in addition to multiple nominations.
