On September 10, a seminar entitled "Argentina as a Premier Travel Destination" was held at the Argentine Official Residence. This event was organized by the Argentine Embassy in a bid to promote an increase in Thai travelers to Argentina on tourism purposes.

Representatives from several Thai outbound tourism agencies, most of which organize trips to Latin America, as well as authorities of the Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA), attended the seminar. Argentine wine, empanadas and sweets were offered to attendees.

The event featured a special participation by Eduardo Benedetti, CEO of the Argentine travel agency Summit Travel, who visited Bangkok to meet with numerous tour operators. He presented the tourist attractions in different regions of Argentina at the seminar.

Before that, Juan Pablo Volken, Head of the Embassy's Economic Section, gave an introduction that included details on safety in Argentina, considered one of the safest countries in the Americas, and an update on discounts and incentives that Argentina offers to international tourists.
