Argentine Ambassador Gustavo Alberto Martino and his wife Jennifer Kiley Irwin participated in a Study Visit to royally-initiated projects in Chiang Rai, organized by the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which took place between 19-21 February.
Some of the highlights of the Study Visit were:
-A visit to the Quality of Life Development Learning Center, “Khok Nong Na Pattana Chumchon (Khok Nong Na advancing community)”, which provided a first-hand experience on a sustainable agricultural development model based on the Sufficiency Economic Philosophy (SEP).
-A visit to the “Doi Tung Development Project, Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage”, where a people-centric royal development approach has improved the well-being of local communities.
-A field trip to the “Carbon Credit from Community Forests for Sustainability Project”.
