A virtual meeting was held on December 6 to review ongoing discussions and negotiations related to bilateral trade in agricultural products between the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Argentina and the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand.

The meeting was co-chaired by Santiago Bonifacio, Director of International Relations -for Argentina- and Vanida Khumnirdpetch, Director of the Bureau of Foreign Agricultural Affairs -for Thailand-. Juan Pablo Volken, Head of the Economic Section of the Embassy, who was in charge of organizing the meeting, also attended.

During the meeting, commitments between both parties were reached to:

-Increase the number of establishments authorized to export bovine meat and offal to Thailand.

-Conclude the market access negotiation for the export of citrus fruits from Argentina to Thailand.

-Remove obstacles that hinder the export of live horses from Argentina to Thailand.

-Promote bilateral cooperation in the development and application of vaccines against foot and mouth disease.
